Stunning Greek Wedding | Andover Country Club

Hi gang! Welcome back to my blog.

I always love photographing weddings. There's so much love in the air and the bride and groom spend so much time carefully planning all the details. It was not any different for Julie and Austin's wedding, either!

The wedding was at St. Athanasius Greek Orthodox Church in Tyngsboro, MA. The reception was at Andover Country Club and was catered by the country club. They danced to their first song "I Won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz which was played by DJ Kostas Blathras.

The church was a gorgeous venue to shoot with so many huge stained glass windows and beautiful details.

Julie and Austin knew one another in high school but their paths didn't cross again until a Christmas party in 2012. When Austin knew Julie was the one he took her to dinner at their favorite restaurant, Lucia's, in the North End. They grabbed a couple cannolis for desert (a must in the North End!) and Austin insisted that he and Julie visit the nearby spot where they had taken a photo together on their 6 month anniversary. That's where he popped the question and Julie said YES! How romantic!

When I asked Julie what her favorite part of the wedding was, she said having the stefana (Greek wedding crowns) placed on their heads to symbolize they were now married, and when they entered the reception together as husband and wife for the first time.

A few more people that helped their wedding go off without a hitch were:

Cake Maker: Montillio's
Dress Boutique: Chryssies Bridal
Florist: Exquisite Linens and Florals
Limo Service: Black Tie Limo

Be sure to leave the couple some love in the comments section! Happy 1 year anniversary!
